The Man in the Photo

Aha!” Looking down at Fez’s bulging pockets, Ellie found her answer. “Fez, do you have any extra hot sauce?” she asked.

“Is now really the time to think about your hunger?” Jessica snapped.

“No, Jess. Look how warm he is with that hot sauce in his pockets.”

Jessica looked over at Fez. “Of course, that’s why he’s still warm. Just like how he avoided getting flash-frozen.” Not only wasn’t he shivering like Ellie and Jessica, but he even seemed to be sweating slightly.

Fez turned around to address Ellie’s question. “Sure, there’s lots in the kitchen. I’ll be right back!” He bolted out of the room.

Jessica gave off a big shiver and looked over at Ellie. “Fez is really nice,” she said. “When this is all over, we should definitely hang out with him.”

“Definitely!” Ellie agreed. She looked up at the clock. 6:15. They were running out of time.

“While we’re waiting, I’ve been meaning to ask you. Do you want my yellow dress with the green flowers?” Jessica asked.

Although Ellie’s mind was still in detective mode, she indulged her friend. “Which one is that again?”

“Hold on, I think my mom has a pic on her phone.” Jessica opened the phone to the photo of the moustached Ayanna.

Who was that in the photo with her? Ellie thought. Jessica began to swipe past the photo. “Wait, go back!” Ellie said. Her eyes grew wide as she recognized that brown hair and face. “That’s him! Prince Theo is the man that I saw with Talia in the atrium. We need to find him.”
